Do Your Clubs Fit?

Club fitting is a fine art and only a few club makers are really the best. So if you are a serious golf student have your clubs checked by a Certified Proffesional Club Maker soon. If you are in the Huntsville Alabama area go by Challenger Golf at the intersection of Hobbs Island road and The Parkway and see Dave. He will fix you right up! The Standard Lengths from the factories are not always the right length for you and if you hit balls far and to the right then you may need a stiffer shaft. Don't change your swing first...first Change Your Club Fitting. Is the lie angle correct when your in a good posture? Do your divots show signs of the toe or the heel digging deeper than the other? And lets not forget grip size. Are your fingers (right handers) digging into your palms or the grip too big hindering a good wristcock at the top of your swing. As you can see there are a few things to have checked out before you change another thing in your swing.

Below are two standard golf club length charts. Standing up straight measure your wrist to floor in inches and follow the charts to the correct club length for you. Lady's standards are 1 (one) inch shorter than men's. Example: (+.25 means 1/4 inch larger than standard; -.25 means 1/4 inch smaller than standard.
